Raal Bistrita, a producer of cooling systems and equipment for the car, agriculture and constructions industries, has started production at its plant in Bistrita-Nasaud, after the first phase of its development was completed, with investments worth 6 million euros. Total investments will amount to around 12 million euros by 2008, when Raal representatives estimate the new plant will operate within the planned parameters. "The new plant has a built-up area of around 19,000 square metres. In the coming period, the plant will be equipped with two aluminium brazing lines, a stainless steel brazing line, an electrostatic field painting line, robot welding lines, and a section for building steel structures. A research and development centre will also be developed, with a surface of over 2,000 square metres," the company's general manager, Paul Ilies, told ZF Transilvania.
