Mandatory pension funds: 3.2m euros investedon Stock Exchange

Mandatory pension funds had placements worth around 11.6 million RON (3.2 million euros) on the Stock Exchange at the end of June, according to data from the Private Pensions Supervisory Commission (CSSPP). The biggest investment in listed shares comes from the second-largest fund on the market, managed by Allianz-Tiriac, which has around one million clients. The fund placed almost 4.3 million RON (1.2 million euros) on the Stock Exchange, i.e. around 10% of its assets. The BCR is the fund placing the highest percentage of its assets in shares - almost 20%. Other funds investing on the Stock Exchange are Aviva (1.68 million RON - 13.6% of its portfolio), ING (1.53 million RON - 2%), Generali (1.24 million RON - 8%), Interamerican (0.72 million RON - 8%), BRD (0.3 million RON - 7%), AIG (0.31 million RON - 2%), Omniasig (0.23 million RON - 11%), OTP (0.06 million RON - 7%), Bancpost (0.04 million RON - 3%) and Prima Pensie (0.02 million RON - 5%).
