TAROM to sign with SkyTeam next week

National airline Tarom will sign a partnership agreement to join the SkyTeam alliance next week, with the integration process estimated to take around 18 months, according to company representatives. TAROM announced at the beginning of last year that it was set to join an alliance, with the list including both SkyTeam and Star Alliance. By joining an alliance, TAROM will be granted access to the networks of partner companies and will have more development prospects. Last year, another regional company, Malev, joined the One World alliance. SkyTeam includes operators such as Air France-KLM, Aeroflot, AeroMexico, Alitalia, China Southern, Continental Airlines, Czech Airlines and Delta Air Lines.
