Head of Private Pension Commission makes 4,552 euros a month

The Chairman of the Private Pensions Supervisory Commission (CSSPP), Mircea Oancea, receives an average monthly salary of 4,552 euros (15,192 RON), according to his wealth statement, published on the institution's website. The overall income derived by the head of CSSPP amounted to around 211,000 euros (705,000 RON). Apart from his salary, Oancea also made money from selling shares worth around 139,000 euros (463,000 RON), with the other incomes coming from marketing operations he conducted as a sole trader, and from his position as member of the Board of Directors of Semrom Oltenia and Timpuri Noi. In 2007, the chairman of the Private Pension Commissions took out two loans from Raiffeisen Bank, worth a total of around 141,000 euros (472,000 RON) and purchased an apartment in Bucharest. Add itionally, according to his wealth statement, Oancea holds three investment-linked life insurance policies, three of which are with AIG Life and one with Allianz-Tiriac. Last year, the head of the CSSPP invested in the Raiffeisen Prosper investment fund, with the balance in his investor account standing at around 2,000 euros (over 7,100 RON) in December.
