Leader of Polish constructions market buys Coifer

The largest constructions company on the Polish market, Polimex - Mostostal, listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, has acquired the Coifer group, one of the largest players on the metallic structures market, in a transaction that will take place over several stages and could eventually amount to 25 million euros. Polimex - Mostostal has acquired a 75% stake in Coifer for 18.75 million euros, with the remaining shares to be purchased at a future stage for a sum ranging from 2.5 million euros to 6.25 million euros, according to representatives of the Polish company. The Coifer group was held by Italian businessman Piero Francisci who controlled 60% of the shares, and by minority shareholders Corina Zaharia and Alexandru Zarnescu. Contacted by ZIARUL FINANCIAR, businessman Piero Francisci declined to comment on the transaction.
