Craiova-based Dumagas Transport, a company held by the Dugaesescu family, aims to maintain the over 50% growth rate registered over the last few years, and this year targets turnover worth around 70 million euros. "Last year, we posted turnover worth over 40 million euros, which was in part helped by Romania's economic growth, as well as by the accession to the EU, which gave Romanian transporters restriction-free access to the EU market. Therefore, our geographical area was extended, which led implicitly to an increase in the volume of goods transported," said Mihai Dugaesescu, manager and shareholder of Dumagas Transport, which provides domestic and international transport services to European countries such as the UK, Portugal, Greece, Turkey and the Baltic states. Dug aesescu added that the trend of the transport market is closely linked with other economic sectors, which is why he expects the positive trend seen over the last 5 years continue.
