Eckerle expects 10m-euro turnover by 2011

The Romanian subsidiaries of the German-based Eckerle-Gruppe, Eckerle Automotive and Eckerle Industrie, posted overall turnover worth more than 4 million euros in the first half of this year, an increase of 35% against the corresponding period last year, when it stood at 2.98 million euros. Eckerle Romania estimates to see the cumulated turnover of its companies exceed 10 million euros, and the total number of employees to reach 1,400 people in three years' time. Considering the financial results in the first half of the year, the management of the Eckerle subsidiaries in Romania forecasts cumulated turnover worth 7.8 million euros, 22% higher than in 2007, when it stood at 6.4 million euros. Eckerle officials forecast 5.8 million euros at the beginning of last year, but the financial indicators were ultimately higher than expected because of an increase in orders for both companies.
