Vinarte, which produces and sells wine, forecasts a 10% turnover rise in 2009, compared with the 15 million RON (4.2 million euros) forecast for this year. In the first nine months, the company reported turnover worth 7.4 million RON (2 million euros), in line with the 10% initially budgeted. "2008 has been a good year, both in terms of quantity and in terms of quality throughout the country: rain came when it was needed, the drought did not affect production and the harvest was very good. Our main projects have entailed boosting the share of wines derived from Romanian grape varieties, such as Feteasca Neagra, Negru de Dragasani, Tamaioasa Romaneasca, Novac, which have already been launched on the market this year," said Sergio Faleschini, Vinarte president.
