Poultry producer Agricola Bacau, which ended 2008 with turnover worth over 100 million euros, has undergone an internal reorganisation process at the beginning of this year, with the group now working on a business line basis. "Since the beginning of the year, we have been using a new concept, that of business lines, further divided into product groups (poultry, boiled and smoked salamis, dry-cured charcuterie, ready meals and ready-to-cook products) and services (traditional commerce - own stores, logistics)," said Grigore Horodoi, president of Agricola Bacau. Agricola Bacau is not the first company in the meat industry to go through such a process, with CrisTim also reorganising its business. "Before, all companies within the group were confined to their own activity. Plants ensured production, while Agricola International handled sales. It was an outdated working system. Now, each production facility is involved in everything, from supplying meat to selling the products," explained Horoi.
