450,000-euro Maybach bought with cash

Ziarul Financiar 10.06.2009
Mercedes-Benz Romania sold in May its first Maybach this year, worth over 450,000 euros, one of the most expensive cars available on the Romanian market. The acquisition of an ultra-luxury model comes amid a 50% monthly decline of the market, with leasing companies putting even over 300,000-euro Rolls Royce models up for sale, which they recovered from clients who could not meet their contracts anymore. This is the third Maybach model sold officially on the Romanian market. Representatives of the importer declined to reveal the identity of the buyer. The model delivered in May is a short-wheelbase 57S, the sports saloon version, and was ordered last year. It was acquired by a corporate entity in Bucharest and was paid for in cash. The price of such a model starts from 443,870 euros, VAT included. The cheapest Maybach, the 57 model, costs 390,201 euros, while the most expensive one, 62S, costs 523,838 euros, excluding optional facilities, which can increase the car's price by up to 200,000 euros.
