MJ Maillis stops production and fires employees involved in it

MJ Maillis (MJM) in Ilfov, a producer and distributor of packaging solutions, will stop production and conduct collective layoffs for employees involved in production, the company announced on Friday. The decision was made at a General Meeting of Shareholders held on Thursday. "By suspending production and finding alternative sources of commodity supply, the company is developing a better cost base, which will lead to improved competitiveness of the company's sales and to an increased profit margin," reads a company report sent to the Bucharest Stock Exchange on Friday.
