The Romanian capital market will double or even triple in value in the next three-four years, considering that Romania is one of the world's most undervalued capital markets, says Mark Mobius, managing director of Franklin Templeton Asset Management. "Within the next three to four years, the value of the market will double or even triple. Romania is one of the most undervalued capital markets in the world. We are hoping to invest more in the future," he said. In order for this to happen, the Romanian market needs to solve its problems related to low liquidity and to the small number of listed companies. The low liquidity has been an obstacle for the investment funds with millions of dollars in assets managed by Franklin Templeton, which invested 15 million dollars in all on the Romanian market. The American giant has had access to the Romanian market, investing via small-cap funds. With 40 years' experience on emerging markets, Mobius believes emerging markets will be the first to recover from the financial crisis.
