RHS-Tornado, one of the biggest IT&C product distributors domestically, expects turnover to rise by 20% in the first quarter of this year compared with a year ago. "We're on an upward trend, we expect to end Q1 with a 20% increase from the similar period of last year. This year we want to be the top distributor of IT&C products on the Romanian market, a target also supported by the operational integration with Tornado Sistems, completed in 2009," Dragos Popescu, general manager of RHS-Tornado, told ZF. Overall this year, the company is not expecting significant changes as regards turnover, which totalled 110m euros in 2009. RHS Company and Tornado Sistems, among the five biggest distributors of IT equipment, with cumulated turnover worth 136m euros in 2008, merged amid plummeting sales and lending last year. The merger was also set to include Scop Computers (the biggest IT distributor in terms of turnover last year), but talks failed. Of the two companies, Tornado Sistems has been the hardest hit by the crisis, with turnover falling to 63m euros in 208 from 93 million a year before.
