British-born Michael Lloyd, the man who has assisted
billionaires Gabriel Popoviciu and Dinu Patriciu in their real
estate businesses over the last ten years has decided to stop
working with the former owner of the Rompetrol group, leaving his
position at the helm of Quintet company, as well as his position of
non-executive manager of the Rutley fund controlled by
Patriciu.
Through Quintet, an asset management company that Lloyd
established two years ago, as well as directly, the Brit has
provided assistance to Dinu Patriciu in acquiring and managing
Fabian, Deutsche Land and Rutley investment funds lately, on which
Patriciu bet more than 100 million euros despite the ongoing
crisis.
"I will continue my private business in Romania and I will
also focus on new business initiatives, both in Romania and in the
UK," Michael Lloyd told ZF.
In the second half of 2008, Lloyd left his position at the helm of the Baneasa project in northern Bucharest, held by Gabriel Popoviciu, after an eight-year stint.
