Prolemn in Reghin, controlled by Kastamonu Entegre, one of the leading players in wood processing industry in Turkey, has started a 100 million-euro investment in a chipboard plant (a material used in the furniture and construction industry) and MDF (medium-density fibreboard - also used in the furniture and construction industry).

"The new plant is located near Prolemn. Works started two months ago and we expect around 200 people to be recruited," said Aydin Kirtiloglu, trade director of Prolemn.

The company announced its first intentions to build such a plant back in 2007, when several locations were examined, including in Bulgaria. The Turks eventually opted for Reghin.

Prolemn posted an around 50 million-dollar (36 million-euro) turnover, with a 20% growth budgeted for this year. The company currently employs 500.
