Germany's iQuest group, operating in the field of business IT applications, plans to hire 40 people in the software development centres in Cluj-Napoca and Brasov. iQuest is headquartered in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, and owns two software development centres in Cluj-Napoca and Brasov and consulting offices in Bucharest, Budapest, Paris and Gothenburg. Now, iQuest has 300 employees, with 280 of them working in iQuest's offices in Romania. In 2008, the group's turnover reached 8.8m euros, with an added around 1.2m euros as indirect revenues from services operated by subcontractors. "In 2009 we decided to strengthen our presence on the Romanian market through a solutions and services portfolio adjusted to the crisis background, a portfolio that includes software applications for a more efficient organisation of companies and cost cutting. The diversification of the software application portfolio is a priority because it allows us to better address the demands of the market. There is still potential for IT investments, but efforts to educate the market and create an IT culture are also needed," iQuest representatives told ZF Transilvania.
