Manager who brought Ericsson a several million euro-contract with Romtelecom promoted to regional position

After two years in Romania, Maurizio de Dominicis has now been put in charge of Ericsson operations in Bulgaria and Northern Balkans, being replaced at the helm of Ericsson Romania by Michele Gressani.

Maurizio de Dominicis, 55, the manager during whose term Ericsson won the biggest outsourcing contract on the Romanian communications market, has since the beginning of this year taken over taken over at the helm of Swedes' operations in Northern Balkans, and has been appointed Country Manager of Ericsson Bulgaria. According to data published by the company in the Official Gazette, de Dominicis ended his term in Romania on the 15th of January.

After several months of negotiations, Romtelecom - one of the leading communications operators on the local market, signed a five-year contract to outsource some of its operations, which also entailed the transfer of 400 employees. According to ZF estimates, the contract between Romtelecom and Ericsson is worth over 10 million euros. This is the biggest operations outsourcing contract signed so far by a telecom operator on the Romanian market.
