The first six months of the year were dynamic in terms of management changes in the domestic IT&C industry. One of the first major management changes this year was the takeover of the management of eMag, the biggest IT&C retailer domestically, by Iulian Stanciu, co-founder of Asesoft Distribution. Also, Scop Computers, the biggest distributor of IT&C products, appointed Paul Miches, who had previously worked in the international offices of Microsoft, as CEO. In January, Ericsson's country manager in Romania, Maurizio de Dominicis, ended his term. UPC, ranking second on the domestic cable TV market, recruited Dragos Militaru as marketing manager. In the telecom field, Orange, the biggest mobile telephony operator domestically, on May 1 appointed Ludovic Pech as chief financial officer. The IT manager of Romtelecom, leader of the domestic fixed telephony market, has filled since early June the position of IT vice president with Everything Everywhere. Calin Rangu, CEO with IIRUC, left the company in April to launch his own IT business. Dan Bulucea left Microsoft Romania to start something new, too. One of latest management changes was the departure of Oana Bornaz from the position of CEO with Gecad Technologies.
