Accenture, specialising in management consulting services,
technological solutions and outsourcing, is going to hire as many
as 150 people this year at its BPO unit, which will boost its
turnover by as much as 50%, Nicholas Butt, head of the company's
BPO centre, said in an interview with ZF. The company seeks people
in fields such as finance, accounting, HR, insurance and
procurement. "We're recruiting a lot of university graduates and
helping them grow. We do not target rapid expansion of the BPO
centre, but a controlled one," Butt stated. He added Bucharest is
one of the company's key growth locations in Europe, generating a
sound source of income for the company. In Romania, the company has
7 major clients, from the music industry, air transport and
services, said Accenture representative without providing further
details.
All the seven clients are foreign companies, with two of
them also having subsidiaries in Romania. The company wants to gain
another three contracts by yearend.
