The business of RTC Holding group, which includes companies operating on the courier service, stationery, book, fashion and manufacturing markets, controlled by businessman Octavian Radu, went down by 12% in the first half and reached 56 million euros, compared with the same time of last year.

A few months ago, book retailer Diverta, which had 10 million euros in debt and 30 million euros in business in 2009, as well as courier service company TCE Logistic`, with 8.5 million euros in debt, also part of the RTC Holding, went insolvent and started reorganisation.

"We are no longer losing money from our operations groupwide, compared with 2009, when we posted 2 million euros in losses in the first half. Considering the seasonal nature of our business sectors, I hope that the second half will bring us back to net profit," Octavian Radu stated.

The sales decline pace, 12% in the first six months of 2010, was lower than in the same time of 2009, when some companies in the group, such as the Diverta bookstores, posted 30% drop in business.
