Logitech: Keyboard, mouse and speaker sales to fall this year, as well
Sales of PC peripherals (mice, keyboards, speakers, webcams etc) in Romania will shrink to around 18 million euros this year, following the decline of computer sales, estimates Camelia Barbălată, country manager for Romania and Bulgaria of Logitech, one of the leading players on the market.
"After the 45% fall recorded in 2009, the market decline was
slower in the first half of the year, by 25-30%. But even if we
have a good sales season in the second half, the market will still
fall by 10-15% for the full year," the Logitech manager told ZF.
"The best year for the peripherals market in Romania was 2007, when
sales exceeded 30 million euros. In 2008 the market went down just
when the holiday sales season was supposed to begin, in November,"
said the Logitech manager.
In 2007 Logitech's turnover was 8 million euros, and fell 30% last
year.
This year the company expects a 25% share of a market put at 18
million euros, after Logitech's revenues rose 30% in the first
half.
