Băsescu: I found about Finance Ministry's incentives two months ago, the Premier found out last week

Premier Emil Boc reportedly found out about the incentive system in place for the institutions subordinated to the Finance Ministry as late as last week, after protests broke out because such bonuses had not been granted. To blame for this was the former Finance Minister Gheorghe Pogea, who kept such things hidden from the head of the Government, said President Traian Băsescu during the "After 20 Years" show broadcast on PROTV yesterday. Băsescu said he had found about the incentives two months before.

He added that two Finance Ministers, Traian Remeş and Sebastian Vlădescu, requested that the incentive system be dropped, but the heads of the subordinated territorial Finance Ministry organisations and of the ministry would not hear about it.
With so much time passed since the issue of dropping the incentives and introducing them in salaries was brought up, one can only wonder how come the head of the Government had no idea about it and the head of state only found out about it two months ago.
