BDO Romania posted an around 6% turnover rise in euros in the financial year ended on September 30, is set to open an office in Cluj in November, and is planning to reach a chain of four or five territorial offices by the end of 2012, said Silviu Manolescu, managing partner of BDO.

"We consider this expansion to be the first step of a more extensive programme, because our ambition for the next two years is it to replicate this in several cities across the country (...)," the head of BDO told ZF.

According to Manolescu, players in the private sector should not wait for the state to come up with solutions, saying the way out is "to create value today more than yesterday."

"Players in the private sector should not wait for solutions from the state. What public policies should convey to the private sector is a clear and consistent message. This is the background that would allow the private sector to maximise its chances of profitable growth."
