Car sales will revolve around 105,000 units in 2011, and light commercial utility vehicle sales will reach 15,000 units, according to Didier Gerard, head of Citroen Romania , with the figures being similar with those estimated for this year's market.
"Now we know there will be a new scrappage scheme and many clients and companies have already postponed their acquisitions and will complete them next year, since they cannot be delayed endlessly, which is why we'll see a slight increase from 2010," Didier Gerard said.
Citroen wants to reach a market share of around 2% in sales of cars and commercial utility vehicles this year, with the share to climb and reach 2.5 to 3% next year.
"Over the past two years, we've grown by 0.5% on average each year. It may not seem much, but this is not bad given that the market is a highly competitive one".
Citroen network last week expanded with two new investments, one in Constanţa, carried out by Grupul Rădăcini, and one in northern Bucharest , through SD Prestige dealer.
Next year, Citroen network will include another five centres, two of which in Bucharest and one in Iaşi.
