Tymbark eyes mineral water market and hopes for 10% growth
Poland's Tymbark Maspex company, the biggest nectar producer
domestically, is likely to tackle the mineral water segment, a
300m-euro market, after having recently added "production of
mineral water and other bottled waters" to its core business, as
revealed in the Official Gazette.
"We're permanently open to new opportunities, watching the entire
market, and this is why we're not ruling out any development
possibility in the field," said Krzysztof Grabowski, chairman of
the company's board.
Tymbark, one of the biggest Polish investors in Romania, reached
54m-euro turnover in 2009 and owns two soft drinks plants in
Vălenii de Munte, Prahova county.
For 2011, the Polish producer has budgeted a 10% turnover increase,
after registering a similar trend in 2010.
"We estimate we got close to initial estimates in 2010, having
forecast a 10% sales increase from 2009. Exports outpaced the
domestic market," said Grabowski.
