Stock of Dafora Mediaş drilling company (DAFR), controlled by Gheorghe Călburean, registered the strongest increase from the lows reached in February 2009, multiplying investors' money six times over the past two years.

The shares of Compa Sibiu car parts producer (CMP) rank second in yields' ranking, with a 499% advance during February 25, 2009-March 9, 2011 period, followed by the shares of Condmag Bra[ov pipe producer (COMI) with a 435% increase and those of Broker Cluj (BRK) and SIF Moldova (SIF2), both with advances of above 420%.

Almost half of the 69 stocks listed on the main market of the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BSE) two years ago have posted increases of above 100% so far and a quarter of them provided yields above those of BET index, which has risen by 210% from the low reached in February 25, 2009.

Investors who would have had the courage and inspiration of investing in any of these stocks then could have doubled and even tripled their money in a single year, given that the Bourse bullish trend ended in April 2010, after which the market entered a period of lateral developments and few stocks still boasted major increases.
