Genpact to hire 160 university graduates in Bucharest and Cluj

Genpact Romania, a provider of business services and of BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) services, continues expansion and is looking to hire 160 young university graduates in Bucharest and Cluj centres. The company, present on the Romanian market since 2005, has reached 1,500 employees in Romania, i.e. over 70% of the 2,200 employees Genpact Europe had at the end of last year.

"We are looking for entry-level candidates fresh out of university, who can speak foreign languages well. Experience in the economic sector or in acquisitions is an advantage," said Tamas Tompa assistant vice-president within Genpact Europe.

Genpact Romania has been one of the most active employers in the past few years, having recruited several hundred people last year alone. The company posted an around 40 million-euro net turnover at the end of 2009 and 2.9 million-euro losses, according to data published on the website of the Finance Ministry. Genpact Europe (which also has operations in Hungary, Poland, the Netherlands, Spain and the UK) currently has 200 openings, but 80% are in Romania.
