Hochtief Solutions, the domestic constructions firm of Germany's Hochtief group, is set to build the Balş plant of International Automotive Components Group (IAC) US company, one of Ford's main parts suppliers, with the value of the contract standing at 11.2m euros.

The Germans will also raise an administrative building in Balş. Construction works started in February and will be completed next January, representing part of the 58m-euro investment IAC announced in Balş.

Hochtief representatives account for the turnover increases during crisis years by some higher value contracts, for which they will receive the money in tranches, along several years.

Besides the Balş project, the company is also carrying out rehabilitation and expansion works for four cleaning stations in Slobozia, Giurgiu county, in Slatina, Mediaş and Călăraşi, each of the projects with values of between 12 and 16m euros.
