ZF today publishes the fourth edition of the ranking of MBA and Executive MBA programmes on the Romanian market in its supplement distributed free of charge with the paper.

The fourth edition of the "Top MBA" ranking - the only such ranking in Romania - centralises opinions of the latest graduates of each business school and ranks schools by level of satisfaction of the graduates of the programme.

The highest-rated MBA programme this year is the one offered by US-based Tiffin University at the Bucharest University, followed closely by ASEBUSS's EMBA programme and by the one offered by Austria's WU Executive Academy.

Of last year's 322 graduates of local MBA and EMBA programmes, 290 answered ZF's online questionnaire and evaluated the programmes, which means the questionnaire was filled in by 90% of the graduates. The questionnaire had 22 questions, 13 of which were used for putting together the final ranking.

Nearly 4,000 Romanian managers pursued an MBA programme on the Romanian market. Physicians and engineers pursued MBA programmes to learn how to become better managers. Those who pursue MBAs pay thousands and even tens of thousands of euros to develop leadership abilities and be able to theoretically structure what they have learned from practical experience.

Internationally, the rankings of MBA and EMBA programmes put together by prestigious publications such as the Financial Times or The Economist are eagerly followed by managers who want to join an executive education programme, and are often a criterion for selecting a business school.

The latest graduates of each school that has participated in the "Top MBA" rated the programmes based on the following criteria: networking, job applicability, quality of the teaching, quality of the courses, teaching expertise, development of management and personal abilities, and the international component. The graduates also said in the questionnaire whether they had changed their job during the MBA or after graduating from it, if they were promoted as a result or started a business of their own. The poll ran between March 15th and March 31st of 2011.
