Lafarge Agregate Betoane (AGEM), a company controlled by Lafarge French group, registered revenues worth 126m lei (around 30m euros) last year, down 1% year-on-year, according to audited financial statements published on the company's website.

On the other hand, the company's losses climbed by 43% to 11m lei (2.6m euros).

"The project dearth on the aggregate and concrete market is still obvious, though some infrastructure works are underway, at a slow speed. The infrastructure field is expected to grow in the 2011-2015 period at a slower pace than the constructions industry overall," reads a report presenting the company's unaudited financial situation.

Lafarge Agregate Betoane last year had 325 employees on average, down from 350 in the previous year. According to the same report, the weight of the concrete-related operations in the company's total turnover reached 25.8% last year, with the rest of turnover being generated by mineral aggregates.
