Edible oil producer Unirea Iasi, held by the Dutch company Cereol Holdings, logged 41.2bn ROL (1.13m euro) losses in the first six months, as compared with 97.1bn ROL net profit on June 30, 2002, according the company's half-year report. sleasdendtThe company's turnover fell some 16%, from 793.1bn ROL to 666.3bn ROL in H1. Cereol bought over 91.7% in Muntenia Bucharest in late July, following a tender offer. The transaction value exceeded 105bn ROL (over 3m euros). After the takeover, Cereol became the owner of Interoil Oradea, as well, a company previously controlled by Muntenia. ZF
