Adidas Romania, the local branch of the German sports gear manufacturer will open at least two exclusive shops this year. "We have one shop slated for the mall under construction in Timisoara, and one in Bucharest, yet not inside the City Mall. We hope we will open another shop in Constanta," Tiberiu Almaghe, adidas Romania general manager said. The investment in an adidas store varies, Almaghe says, depending on the size and the shelf position, between 120 and 300 euros per square metre. The company is currently operating four shops in Bucharest and one in the Iulius Mall in Iasi. "Last year was the first year in business for adidas Romania as an importer. We achieved double sales compared with the previous year, yet this year we won't be seeing the same performance. Excluding the new shops to be opened this year, we will see about 15% growth," Almaghe added, without revealing sales estimates. ZF
