Drug maker Antibiotice Iasi expects sales to go up by 25% next year due to growth in exports. The chief executive of the company said Antibiotice could be privatised next year. Antibiotice is the only drug maker still owned by the state. "We will finish this year with $40 million in sales, just as expected, and want to make sales of $50 million next year," said Ioan Nani, Antibiotice's chief executive. He added that the company would conclude this year with $5 million profits, slightly up from last year. Antibiotice anticipates exports to the American market to increase to $4.5 million in 2005, more than double this year's level. ZF
