Sales of refrigerator maker Arctic Gaesti posted a 36% increase in real terms in 2002 as compared to the previous year. The company's turnover amounted to 1,707 billion ROL ($51m) last year. Arctic holds about half of the Romanian refrigerator market. The sales increase (prompted by the advertising campaign run by Arctic last year) helped the company post profits again. After ending 2000 with practically no gains and reporting losses of 140 billion ROL ($4.8m) in 2001, Arctic last year netted 80 million ROL ($2.4m), according to preliminary results. ZF
