Astaldi: Total contract for Bucharest International Airport worth 300m euros

Italian company Astaldi, one of the most active companies on the Romanian constructions market, will be involved in the third stage of development and modernisation of Henri Coanda International Airport, Otopeni, with a contract worth 76 million euros. This contract brings the cumulated value of Astaldi's contracts for the modernisation of the Otopeni-based airport to around 290 million euros. Astaldi will execute works to expand the arrivals and the departure terminals, will renovate the hall dedicated to officials, reorganise the passenger flow and build a new car park. Modernising works will start at the beginning of 2008, and continue over a 36-month period. Astaldi launched operations in Romania over 20 years ago, and the company is currently involved in the rehabilitation of the international airport in Cluj-Napoca, where it will build a new terminal.
