Brandl-Ro, part of the German group Brandl GmbH, an international producer of components for car bodies, intends to hire around 300 people by the end of 2008, with the number of company employees expected to reach 650, following the doubling of production capacities at the Sibiu-based plant. For the coming period, the company's plans include entering the Romanian market as the entire production originating from Romania is currently delivered to the parent company in Germany. The management of Brandl-Ro has also announced its intention to approach clients from Romania in the near future. "The car component market, in this area, is seeing a spectacular expansion. Currently, our company is delivering parts and subassemblies for the German automotive industry, but we are in negotiations to develop our client portfolio," Septimiu Popa, general manager of Brandl-Ro, told ZF Transilvania. He did not wish to reveal the names of any clients the company targets on the Romanian market. Brandl-Ro posted a 3.5 million-euro turnover in the first three months of the year, a 30% increase on the same time last year.
