The revenues of construction supplies producer Ceramica Iasi rose by 28.8% in the first quarter of the year, and reached 14.38 million RON, while net income dropped slightly from 2.6 million RON to 2.43 million RON, the company announced last week. Spending increased by 41% from January through March, the quarterly report of the company filed with RASDAQ reveals. The business of the construction supplies producer went up by more than 20% from 9.6 million RON to 11.7 million RON. Ceramica Iasi posted total revenues worth 52.3 million RON last year, up 38% on 2006, and 95% higher net profit worth 11.82 million RON. Spending in 2007 amounted to 38.31 million RON, an increase of 25% on the previous year and turnover rose by 29% and reached 48.16 million RON (14.4 million euros).
