The National House of Pensions and other Social Insurance (CNPAS) is ready to start its process that keeps track of participants for mandatory private pensions (the 2nd pillar), Mariana Campeanu, chairperson of the institution, told ZF. The first report is due to take place today. "We have put together the Participants' Register, and are expecting the first report from private pension fund managers, which is scheduled for Monday (i.e. today). The IT system for the reports is ready and has already been tested and there should be no problems," said the head of the CNPAS. Under the current legislation, managers of mandatory pension funds must send a two-week report (on the 1st and the 15th of every month, between September 17 and January 17, 2008) concerning their contracted clients.
