Bucharest's Barbu Vacarescu Boulevard, which has not attracted any major real estate projects so far, could become one of the most important business centres within the next three years, when over 150,000 square metres of offices will be delivered onto the market, according to Colliers representatives. "The Barbu Vacarescu area is currently very attractive for real estate developers, as it is close to the city centre and near Pipera. This is where the future "City" of the Capital could take shape, given that there are a lot of free plots of land in this area," says Horatiu Florescu, vice-president of Colliers. On the Barbu Vacarescu Boulevard, Portland Trust intends to build an office project, with a built area of around 60,000 sqm, 35,000 sqm of which will be lettable area. The investment allocated for the project is estimated at 60-70 million euros.
