Real estate consultancy company Colliers International, the largest player on the domestic market in terms of turnover (21.2 million euros in 2007), posted more than 10 million euros in revenues in the first half of the year, an increase of 20% against the same period last year. The increase was primarily due to the valuation department, whose revenues increased by 160% as a result of the services provided to companies such as Petrom, BRD, BCR and Austrian investment fund Immoeast. In addition, Colliers International has become the exclusive evaluator of the Romanian and Eastern European properties of Immoeast, the leading buyer of real estate assets on the Romanian market. "Considering the high number of exclusive projects in our portfolio, and the high quality of our clients, we believe we will continue to grow in the second half of 2008," stated Bogdan Georgescu (photo), managing partner of Colliers International Romania. Colliers' estimates for this year, made at the end of 2007, target an around 30% growth in turnover against the 21.2 million euros derived last year. Colliers has reached 100 employees on the domestic market, but Georgescu wants the Bucharest office to double its team to 200 people by the end of 2009. The real estate consultancy market is currently dominated by foreign groups, with four of the top five companies on the market being international players - Colliers, CB Richard Ellis Eurisko, Cushman & Wakefield Activ Consulting and DTZ.
