Ioan Andone, the coach of the football team CR Cluj, the current leader of the Romania's first league, is interested in entering the McDonald's business, and intends to open three restaurants in Hunedoara county, after he acquired the franchise. Andone's decision comes shortly after another sports personality, tennis player Ilie Nastase, took over three McDonald's restaurants in the Republic of Moldova. "I will start this business with another businessman, Sorin Savu, in Deva. To begin with, I want to have three restaurants in Hunedoara county, since there is no McDonald's there. This is a long-term business, and I am doing it for my son who will be graduating from the Academy of Economic Studies this year, and for whom I want to set up a business," said Andone. He did not specify the value of investments in the three restaurants, but does not expect to recoup it in one or two years. According to the general manager of McDonald's Romania, the average investment in a restaurant can reach around 0.8 - 2 million euros, depending on the surface area, the technical facilities and the location.
