Hidroconstructia, one of the top two Romanian construction companies in terms of turnover, saw an about 20% drop in the four-month revenues in ROL, which trend is expected to maintain all through this year. It had posted 27% growth in revenues in euro for 2002. "Hidroconstructia made some 700bn ROL in total revenues in the first four months, approximately 20% less than in the same time last year, due to the prolonged winter in 2003. We anticipate to make 3,405bn ROL in total revenues for this year, but we could make even more. Last year for instance, we had anticipated 2,800bn ROL (87.3 million euro) revenues, but due to the contracts signed we actually concluded the year with 4,231bn ROL (132 million euros) in total revenues," Emil Timofti, Hidroconstructia SA general manager, told Ziarul Financiar.
