Sales of Konica photo products will increase 50% this year, up to $1.5m, says Dorimell Popescu, general manager of Photo Trade, sole Konica importer in Romania. By the end of 2005, Photo Trade aims to get more than 50% of the local market, Popescu added. The products made by Japanese corporation Konica account for 30% of the $4-5m Romanian market, he stated. "This share could be larger, if we consider parallel imports," said Borislav Petrov, Konica regional manager. Kodak is now the market leader, through its distributor M.T.IL Rom, according to market surveys. ZF
