Five ships of Compania de Navigatie Maritima (Maritime Company) Romline will be sold by the Office for Banking Assets Recovery (ORCB) by tender for about $1.84 million. Except for ship "TradeLine I", currently stationed in Constanta, the other vessels are seized in various harbours across the world.
Costinesti and Star, 8,750 tdw each, made in 1985 and 1976 respectively, will be put up for sale on April 10. Costinesti, encumbered by about $2 million in debts, is arrested in Ravena, Italy and will be sold for a starting price of $356,850.
Star, detained in Azua, Dominican Republic, registers $250,000 in debts, while receivables to the crew amounted to $37,158 by March 22. The starting price for this ship is $272,175. Another three ships of Romline will be sold by tender on March 28. Lisa M, 8,850 tdw, made in 1982, is put up for sale at $423,750.
She is currently arrested in Nemrut Bay, Turkey and has $400,000 in debts, in addition to the overdue payments to the crew, which reach $72,208. Ardeal, 8,637 tdw, built in 1989, seized in Mongla, Bangladesh, registers about $207,000 in debts. ORCB is hoping to raise at least $365,925 from its sale.
