Hair care distributor Londa Cosmetics Romania estimates sales will go up 10%-15% this year, amounting to 5.2-5.5m euros. The company reported 4.8m euros in turnover in 2002. "We have directed our efforts to communicating with the end user, while in store promotions were among the main activities that supported this communication, in addition to the press campaigns in women's magazines," the company's general manager Liviu Curechian said, without disclosing the investments entailed by this strategy. According to Curechian, the company posted smaller growth, as the purchasing power dropped, while the market and the competition stagnated. ZF
