Mercedes-Benz Romania, which imports six automotive brands on the local market, saw an over 80% growth rate in the first four months of the year, with the number of vehicles delivered reaching 3,354. The increase was due to the commercial vehicles segment (commercial utility vehicles and trucks) which saw a 114% increase, to 2,090 units, i.e. more than half the company's sales. The best-selling brand in the portfolio was Mercedes-Benz, with 871 units, while the Class C model accounted for around a third of the total sales, with 271 units delivered. The Dodge and Jeep brands posted lower sales, with 151 and 125 units respectively, and Smart delivered 31 units. The only decline (by 44%), was experienced by Chrysler, which sold under 50 units. The brands imported by Mercedes-Benz Romania are distributed locally via a network of 15 dealerships, which own several showrooms. The newest dealer of the network is Autoklass Bucuresti Center that opened a dealership in North Bucharest a month ago, which covered 5,000 square metres, after an investment worth 4 million euros.
