Microsoft Romania, the local subsidiary of the world's biggestsoftware producer, expects business growth of 6% for the 2011fiscal year that started on July 1st, double as much as thatrecorded in the previous year, said Călin Tatomir, the company'sgeneral manager.
"We managed to grow despite the economy not showing signs ofrecovery, and despite the 40% decline of the Romanian PC market,"Tatomir said.
He added that all the company's divisions posted similar increases,with the biggest rise being recorded by the Microsoft Dynamics ERP(Enterprise Resource Planning) solution and the CRM (CustomerRelationship Management) solution, whose revenues tripled againstlast year. Sales of IT security products rose by 75%. "Sales of ITsecurity products confirmed for the third consecutive year thatthey are a major growth driver for Microsoft's business, with thetrend recorded in previous years resulting in a 500% growth overthe past three years," said the company's official.
