Quadrant Amroq Beverages (QAB), the company that bottles and sells Pepsi on the Romanian market, has increased a line of credit contracted from Alpha Bank by 10 million dollars (7.8 million euros), to 20 million dollars, according to a shareholders' decision made in December. The number of shareholders was also reduced from five to two, i.e. Quadrant-Amroq Bottling Company Limited and Quadrant-Amroq Bottling Company (Europe) Limited. The company has included physical, chemical and microbiological tests among its activities as well as cafeteria-related activities. QAB last year conducted investments worth 17 million dollars in modernising production and implementing environment protection systems. Present on the local market since 1991, Quadrant Amroq Beverages produces and sells soft drinks and mineral water. The company owns two plants, a soft drinks one in Bucharest, and a mineral water one in Covasna. The company posted an over 500 million-RON turnover in 2005.
