All these websites, along with 11 more or less famous ones, were created by a handful of specialists with Renbra Net.
Everything started in December 2000, when the company was established. The first months were the hardest, but, what is most important, as Bogdan Burghele the company's marketing and sales manager points out, is "we are beyond staying afloat, we have become profitable."
Renbra Net is fully Romanian-owned.
The employees of the company, whose core business is developing web pages and software, have managed to prepare 15 websites and several software packages to be released in September in only seven months.
Soon after its establishment, the company became an affiliate of the British-American Renbra Resources Company, which "will invest several hundred thousand dollars in Renbra Net next year," Burghele said.
Only one of the 15 sites designed so far belongs to the company: www.poftamare.ro.
"We are planning on developing the site by introducing an online order placing section, where the employees of a specific company, for instance, could order lunch from any restaurant included on the list on www.poftamare.ro. Furthermore, we will develop a software that does not send orders by e-mail, which those at the restaurants read once in a blue moon, but straight to the recipient's display," Bogdan Burghele says.
A very important thing to bear in mind when developing a website is marketing, as well as promotion.
"If the client has no money, there is not much of a content on a website. Moreover, in order to promote an online service, one must find something in between, that is neither leave a banner unchanged for months in a row, nor harass the surfer with lots of advertising spots on every popular site or portal," the Renbra Net official says.
Almost the entire server infrastructure of the company is located in the US, in order for Renbra Net to be able to maintain all the sites in its care.
"We cannot possibly do it here. You have to have at least three Internet lines, one of them for back-up and whoever is capable of providing such a thing in Romania charges $6,000 a month for it, so that your business turns unprofitable," Bogdan Burghele specified.
