Corrugated cardboard manufacturer Romcarton in Bucharest, partof French group Rossman, which also holds the Ambro Suceava plant,is sending all employees on technical unemployment one day perweek, as an alternative to redundancies. "Due to the decline in thevolume of orders this year, we decided to send employees ontechnical unemployment one day every week. Starting in Februarythis year all employees went on technical unemployment one day aweek, on Fridays, which has allowed us not to make redundancies,"said Cristina Rotaru, commercial manager of Romcarton. The companyended last year with 26 million euros in turnover and has 250employees.
